Christie Barr from Jacksonville was shocked when she woke up and saw her wrecked vehicle, reported WJAX-TV channel. The necessary repairs could cost around $3,000.

“I thought someone had taken an air gun and shot my car,” the woman told the channel. She called the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and the investigators who analyzed the security camera footage found the four-legged culprits.

The incident occurred around 4 a.m. last Sunday (24), after the neighbor’s cat hid behind the engine. The frenzied dogs began attacking the vehicle, damaging the front bumper, fenders, and two tires.

The security camera footage shows them tearing metal sheets to bypass the steering wheel, leaving deep bite marks in the car’s structure. “If they could do this with the metal of a car, they would destroy a human too,” Barr said.

The cat survived the hunt, according to Barr, who is certain it wouldn’t have survived if the dogs had reached it. “I have no doubt that if they had caught that cat, it wouldn’t be here today,” she said.
